Toronto is where it all started for me. I found inspiration walking the downtown streets, observing the people that kept them busy, and listening to the music that came from them. Starting off with an iPhone 4, I began photographing the city around me and its rooftops, which led me to photographing my closest friends and later on, documenting some of my favourite musicians.
Seeing photos that once lived on my laptop appear on massive billboards never gets old. It reminds me that the moments I create and capture—along with the people in front of and behind the camera—all hold limitless potential. That’s a standard I always hold myself to, whether I’m shooting for work or just for fun.
Through photography, I learned the importance of documenting stories, and as a photographer I know it’s my responsibility to curate these memories - not only for myself but also for the world around me, and the world to come.
